Furrytail Defense is a plant-derived tick and flea spray for dogs. Vetiver root oil and hinoki cypress oil work through scent, and neem extract adds a second deterrent layer, so it helps deter ticks and fleas before every walk. It leaves out permethrin, synthetic pyrethroids, DEET, fipronil and synthetic pesticides, and every ingredient is printed on the box.
It is a repellent, not a medicated treatment. For an active tick or flea infestation, consult your vet. Defense is for dogs only.
Using tick spray on a walk
01 · Before the walk
Spray, then let it dry
Shake well. Hold 20 cm from the coat and apply 6 to 8 sprays across the back, flanks and base of the tail, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Let it dry completely before walking, and repeat before each walk in tick-active areas.

A repellent lowers the chance, it does not remove the need to check. Check the coat after walks, remove any tick carefully and speak to your vet.

Does the spray kill ticks?
No. Defense helps deter ticks and fleas; it is a plant-derived repellent, not a medicated treatment. For an active infestation, consult your vet.
What is in it, and what is left out?
Vetiver root oil, hinoki cypress oil, eucalyptus oil and neem extract, with aloe vera and glycerin. It leaves out permethrin, synthetic pyrethroids, DEET, fipronil and synthetic pesticides.
How often should I use it?
Before each walk in tick-active areas. Shake well, spray from 20 cm and let it dry completely before you head out.
Can I use it on a puppy or a cat?
Defense is for dogs only, not cats. For puppies, check with your vet first.
